When I met with Jace’s mom, I knew immediately that I was going to love working with her and her son. Sarah told me that he wasn’t the most smiley baby — and one challenge was that he was hearing impaired. We explored what Jace did enjoy and the wheels in my head started turning. I wanted to find a location that matched his love for trucks along with an environment that would be engaging for him. I think we succeeded. 😉
While maybe rare, his smiles were completely genuine and contagious.
Hello sweet one!!
Jace loves wheels, trucks, and apparently… construction materials.
He wasn’t so sure about hats. 🙂
Life happens fast…
so capturing photographs help it stand a little more still and allows you to celebrate different stages in each child’s life.
A worker on site yelled at us: “Why don’t you put him on the tractor?”
Woops! He can’t quite reach the gas pedal.
What if we all approached life’s surprises like this??
LOVE. THIS. SMILE.
The flip side? Life’s exciting moments make other moments seem less fun.
By the way, this is seriously the cutest, most impressive cry face I have ever seen. 🙂
Jace’s story is just beginning…
but I can tell it is going to be full of beauty and awe.
Thank you for asking me to capture these portraits of your little man in an environment that he truly enjoyed.
It is inspiring to see the relationship you two have built in his short little life. And it is so evident that you two adore each other.
