Everyday Photography: “the lazy dog days of summer”: Indiana Lifestyle Photography

Spending a week in Indiana with family was just what the doctor ordered… especially when sitting in your parents’ backyard (on the edge of woods) looks like this:

And the beverage of choice is an ice cold diet cherry coke.

And you conclude that as MUCH as you LOVE the Boston Terrier dogs that have been a part of your family since your Great Grandpa showed them as circus dogs, you probably won’t pursue pet photography. Meet our dog Gus. I call him Gus Gusterson. My parents sometimes have less appropriate names for him…

And as beautiful as the sky is…

And as entertaining as my dog Gus is while looking for squirrels in the woods…

The best part of the day is talking with my Dad about life and photography… and giving him a mini-lesson on shooting in manual mode.

There is beauty in everyday life… in the small moments that often go unnoticed.
